This year, AISAC will be focusing on various cities in Israel throughout history. Each city is a "mark" on the map and we hope to trace the unique timelines of some special cities in Israel to show how they went from the times of Tanach to modern-day Israel. One of our goals is to make the beautiful history of the land more relevant and to allow us to have a greater appreciation for how the cities have developed into what they are today.
AISAC has also been involved in a special, three-pronged program, organized with Mrs. Azizollahoff and Aliza Blumenthal's help, to respond to the recent, tragic fires in Israel. We teamed up with the Green Team to raise money to help replant trees, as well as with the Tzedakah committee, who will be donating all money earned this month to the families affected by the fires. Lastly, students were given an opportunity to write letters to the firemen who risked their lives by responding to the fires. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped to make the program a reality; although our efforts may seem small, we hope that they will have a meaningful effect.
Looking forward to many more successful programs and opportunities to “make our mark” and a great year of connection to Israel!
